Talk Back Time, Drop the Mic: You Ask...COBE Answers!
What is your gig rate per show?
I charge $200 for a solo hire (or an equal band split) for up to 3 hours of music magic. Tips? Shared evenly — because that’s how real bandmates roll. Think of it this way: it’s cheaper than therapy, more fun than a gym membership, and comes with zero side effects (unless toe-tapping counts). Basically, big vibes at a bargain.
Do you travel outside of Oklahoma for event performances?
Yes — I am road-ready and available to travel for events outside of Oklahoma. Once I cross those state lines, my rider kicks in: room & board required. Think of it as fueling up the music machine for maximum vibes.
Can I request specific songs for my event?
Absolutely! I love creating a personalized soundtrack for every event. I’m basically a human jukebox — 30 years of songs stored up here. My super-savant talent is learning a setlist on the way to the gig, so chances are I’ve got you covered. And if I don’t know it, just hand me a phone and I’ll learn it on the fly. Either way, you’re getting the song you want — and a night to remember.
What's it like being a savant musician?
Imagine having Spotify stuck in your head — except I am the playlist.
Can you play an genre?
Country? Jazz? Gospel? Polka-metal fusion? You name it, I can sit in. (But don’t test me with “Baby Shark” though I have played it a few time for the kiddos, lol)
Do you do solo or just with bands?
Both. Sometimes I’m the one-man band playing the grand at the local yacht clubs, sometimes I’m the glue that makes the band a little more sticky. Think of me as musical duct tape — but cooler.
Any preshow rituals?
Tuning my ears, flexing my fingers, and making sure my 'MOM'ager has a full tank of club soda on stand by.
How do you describe your style?
Stride piano meets soul meets “let’s see where this groove goes.” Basically, I’m in my own key category.
Why should I book you?
Because I bring more than music — I bring stories, laughs, and vibes. Also, I promise I won’t "go down the rabbit hole" and play off setlist…unless the "fans" yell out a request, I aim to please.
What's the biggest crowd you've played for?
Around 20,000. But honestly, whether it’s 20 or 20,000, I bring the same energy. (Though 20 people rarely wave lighters in unison.)
Wait...are you really blind?
Yep. Can’t see a thing. But don’t worry — I’ve never lost the keyboard on stage. (The drummer? Different story.)
